British Dodgeball offers a range of awards and coaching courses in dodgeball that cater for many different types of deliverers. All of our awards are endorsed by the World Dodgeball Association, the World Governing Body of dodgeball. British Dodgeball Referee Workshop
We provide two options for our referee training. You can either sign up to one of our open 3 hour courses via the website for £30pp or arrange with our staff for a bespoke 2 hour course to be delivered to your club, group or education establishment for a set fee of £200 for the course.
British Dodgeball CPD Workshop
Our CPD workshop is perfect for those wishing to refresh their knowledge of dodgeball or for those completely new to the sport. The 3 hour workshop is very much practical based and will be ideal for teachers, parents, club volunteers and workplace staff. This course can also be tailored to your needs, such as bespoke to primary school dodgeball delivery or for a workplace challenge event. The course is delivered at a set fee of £250.
British Dodgeball Leaders Workshop
Our leadership workshop can be delivered to any primary or secondary school group from the age of 7 - 18. Our experienced instructors can tailor the course to the needs of the specific group over 3 hours in the school hall. Leaders will learn the importance of health & safety, basic dodgeball skills, communication, an introduction to coaching and understand the rules of the sport. Leaders will also have a lot of fun playing dodgeball and learning new and inclusive games. The course is delivered at a set fee of £250.
British Dodgeball Level 1 Coaching Award
It is our belief at British Dodgeball that the training we provide will enable coaches and those working with groups to empower people from all different walks of life to be healthy, active and enjoy the full benefits of sport and physical activity. Our Level 1 Coaching Award not only provides candidates with a knowledge of the sport, but also on how to work with different participants, how to be inclusive and provides an understanding of the importance of a positive well-being, improving self-esteem and taking part. This short 4-5 hour course is only available as a one off course to groups at a set fee of £400. Groups can come from an education establishment such as a school, college or university, from a club, a youth group, workplace or other community or common interest group. Participants must be aged 14+.
British Dodgeball Level 2 Coaching Award
Our Level 2 course is an 8 hour practical course that is perfect for anyone wishing to coach dodgeball within their community, whether that is at clubs, universities, schools or colleges. Anyone aged 16+ can complete the qualification. You do not need to have completed the Level 1 course to sign up. The course is ran at a fee of £120pp. We have many open courses taking place throughout the U.K. during the year that individuals can sign up to. Private courses for schools, colleges, universities, coaching companies or any other common interest group are available upon request and discounts are available. On the course participants will understand dodgeball rules and game play, core skills of the sport, coaching, variations and inclusive practices, refereeing, planning and delivery and evaluating and concluding.
British Dodgeball Level 3 Coaching Award
The course is delivered over 2 days by an experienced British Dodgeball instructor at one of our centres. Between days 1 and 2 candidates will be required to complete 30 hours of experiential learning. Included in the course are modules on; the role of the level 3 coach, tactics, strategies and game play, player development, understanding your participants needs. Candidates will also be required to present their learning under assessment. The British Dodgeball Level 3 course is the most advanced dodgeball course in the world and is available at a cost of £175pp. Candidates must have completed the British Dodgeball Level 2 Coaching Award prior to signing up to the Level 3.
