Junior Leadership Award Tutor Resource
Description
The Junior Leadership Award Tutor Resource is a new resource for 2021 and part of our Return to Dodgeball that we believe will ensure more opportunities for young people to not only play dodgeball but to develop key skills in leadership, communication and teamwork.
The resource will provide the tutor with the knowledge to deliver the Junior Leadership Award to Primary School Children aged 7-11. The resource comes with a 12 page booklet that includes details on the course, a step by step guide to delivering the course and tutor responsibilities including how to process each course for certification.
As well as the course delivery booklet the resource pack includes 10 laminated A4 activity cards that will be used by the tutor and students when completing the course.
Pre-requisites
You must be a British Dodgeball Level 2 Qualified Coach in order to purchase the tutor resource and be qualified to deliver the course.
How does the course work?
Upon purchasing the British Dodgeball Junior Leadership Award Tutors Resource a pack containing your delivery booklet and activity cards will be sent to you. As a qualified British Dodgeball Level 2 Coach you then have the ability to sell the course and your services delivering the course to primary schools. The leadership course takes 2.5 – 3 hours to deliver. We recommend you charge £265 per course, although the price you set is ultimately up to you. Certification for all students will be carried out by British Dodgeball at a cost of £80 per course, enabling you as the tutor to earn approximately £185 per course.
Can schools purchase this resource?
Absolutely, as long as the PE lead is a qualified Level 2 dodgeball coach. This is a fantastic opportunity for schools to use Primary Sport Premium funding to increase the sustainability of sport throughout the whole school. Children taking part in the training will learn necessary skills to lead a school festival in dodgeball.
