Can I learn at my own pace?

Yes! Our courses are set up so you can start, pause and return to your learning at times which are convenient to you. There is no time limit to compete the course in. The only exception to this is the online Level 2 course, which is made up of 2 webinars and lessons to complete before/after certain points, but this is all clearly marked.

Who developed this course?

Our courses are developed by teaching and coaching professionals from around the world, led by a Physical Education specialist teacher and international dodgeball coach from the UK. The WDBF Coaching Committee endorses the courses we develop to ensure the contents are of high value to dodgeball specialists and generalist sports educators alike.

What are the technology requirements to take this course?

Any device with access to a browser can access this course in its entirety. No additional software (e.g., word processors) or hardware is needed, unless explicitly stated (such as recording equipment for the online Level 2 course). We recommend using Google Chrome to complete the course, although it should be compatible with all browsers.

2025/26 Northern Irish Super League Preview

The wait is nearly over as the Northern Irish Super League returns on 10th January 2026, and all signs point toward another thrilling season of top-level dodgeball. With new teams entering the league, champions chasing history, and British Champs qualification firmly on the line, the NI Super League continues to grow in both quality and prestige.

Men’s Northern Irish Super League

The men’s division once again centres around the question everyone is asking: can anyone stop Ballyhackamore Barbarians?

The reigning champions return looking to replicate an extraordinary period of success, having secured the NI Super League title and British Championships Double for the last 2 years. Their consistency and big-game mentality have set the standard, but history shows that maintaining dominance becomes harder with every passing season.

Finishing just behind them last year were KAPOW, who produced an outstanding campaign of their own. They suffered only two defeats all season, both coming at the hands of the Barbarians. That narrow margin highlights just how close KAPOW are to breaking through, and this season they will be determined to turn those near-misses into statement victories. If they can finally overcome their biggest rivals, the title race could look very different.

Last season was also historic for Northern Irish dodgeball as the league secured a third qualification spot for the British Championships. That spot was claimed by Queen’s Aces, who finished third ahead of Ballyhackamore Vikings, becoming the first university team from NI to compete at British Champs. Their achievement has raised expectations across the league and adds even more importance to the fight for the top three.

Adding another layer of intrigue this season is the arrival of Belfast Tornadoes 1s and 2s, two new teams entering the NI Super League setup. Their inclusion strengthens the depth of the league and introduces new matchups that could play a crucial role in shaping the table.

Women’s Northern Irish Super League

The women’s division enters the new season with a clear benchmark set by Ballyhackamore Amazons. Last year, they were untouchable, going 8 wins from 8 to claim the Women’s NI Super League title with a perfect record. Once again, they will be the team everyone is chasing.

Behind them, the battle was far tighter. Black Widows edged out Crossfire by a single win to secure second place, underlining just how competitive the division has become. Both sides will be eager to close the gap at the top and challenge the Amazons’ dominance this time around.

Rounding out the league are Queen’s of Hearts, who complete the Women’s Super League lineup. With experience gained and standards continuing to rise across the division, every fixture will matter in what promises to be another closely fought season.

New Faces, New Stories

As the countdown begins, all eyes turn to New Forge Sports Complex in Belfast as the Northern Irish Men’s and Women’s Super Leagues kick off on 10 January 2026. With fresh rivalries, returning champions, and new talent ready to make their mark, the stage is set for another unforgettable season.
