Club Membership Requirements 2025/2026
In order to be eligible for club membership for the 23-24 season, community clubs must have the following in place:
Set-Up:
- Regular sessions at local training venue promoted to members of the community
- Club email account
- Club bank account
- Report last season’s club membership statistics to British Dodgeball
Policies:
- Constitution or articles of association
- Safeguarding policy
- Data protection policy
People:
- Appointed safeguarding officer with recommended safeguarding training
- One British Dodgeball Level 2 qualified coach (minimum)
- Nominated club referee lead
Club Development Pathway:
- Nominated junior development officer
For the 2025/26 season, it will be a requirement that in order for your club to be affiliated to British Dodgeball, the club will need to run a junior section. In order to support this development, we require all clubs to appoint a Junior Development Officer in the 2023/24 season to start planning for this next stage of your club’s development. We understand that many affiliated clubs are already at this stage.
‘I am excited to see how the updated requirements assist both British Dodgeball and clubs to grow the sport across the UK. I am looking forward to assisting clubs to become more sustainable by creating a participation pathway for junior players through to adults’ – Alice Bowler, British Dodgeball Youth Development Manager
