Affiliate League Membership

What is an Affiliate League?

An affiliate league is a dodgeball league that is affiliated to British Dodgeball. The league is run outside the British Dodgeball National League pyramid, Mixed and Regional Leagues (Adult, Junior or University) by an associate organisation or group.

What are the benefits of affiliation?

  • Recognition that the league is endorsed by the National Governing Body for dodgeball. This will assist in the promotion of the league to teams, players and referees.
  • All British Dodgeball members participating in affiliated leagues are subject to British Dodgeball’s disciplinary processes if the league requires support. In game sanctions such as yellow or red cards will be handled by the affiliate league and will not carry over to British Dodgeball events. More serious breaches of the British Dodgeball Code of Conduct however may be subject to sanction from British Dodgeball.
  • Leagues will have access to British Dodgeball qualified referees.
  • Affiliated leagues will gain support from British Dodgeball staff in relation to league rules and format.
  • Affiliated leagues will have the opportunity to publish their league and results on the British Dodgeball website. This will include the affiliated league finder map.

How do I affiliate my league?

You can renew or register for Affiliate League Membership by paying the yearly affiliation fee of £150*. Once you have completed payment a member of the British Dodgeball team will be in touch to support you with league format and the full set up process.

*Please note that the maximum number of teams participating in a league per affiliation is 12. For leagues with multiple leagues or with more than 12 teams participating an additional affiliation fee is required for every 12 teams.

    Before you buy

Can I learn at my own pace?

Yes! Our courses are set up so you can start, pause and return to your learning at times which are convenient to you. There is no time limit to compete the course in. The only exception to this is the online Level 2 course, which is made up of 2 webinars and lessons to complete before/after certain points, but this is all clearly marked.

Our courses are developed by teaching and coaching professionals from around the world, led by a Physical Education specialist teacher and international dodgeball coach from the UK. The WDBF Coaching Committee endorses the courses we develop to ensure the contents are of high value to dodgeball specialists and generalist sports educators alike.

Any device with access to a browser can access this course in its entirety. No additional software (e.g., word processors) or hardware is needed, unless explicitly stated (such as recording equipment for the online Level 2 course). We recommend using Google Chrome to complete the course, although it should be compatible with all browsers.

    Our courses are aimed at:

    • Anyone wanting to learn more about dodgeball
    • Physical Education teachers
    • Generalist sports coaches
    • Dodgeball coaches
    • Dodgeball players wanting to learn more about another code of the sport

It can be completed by anyone of any age, although it is recommended each learner is aged 13+. Anyone aged under 18 should get permission from a parent or guardian before signing up to online learning on this site.

Please see our refund & cancellation policy on our Policies page for more information.
