Who Are KitRound?
KitRound is a marketplace built to keep sports kit in play. By reselling and redistributing equipment, they help reduce waste, cut costs for families and organisations, and support greater participation in sport.
Their mission is simple but powerful: tackle sportswear waste and remove financial barriers by keeping kit circulating, not discarded.
Vision: A future where buying pre-used kit is the first choice, not the last resort.
From football boots worn for a single season to equipment left unused in storage, KitRound believes every item still has value. By giving these items a second life, they can return to the pitch, court, or hall with someone new.
Why British Dodgeball Has Partnered with KitRound
British Dodgeball’s partnership with KitRound is driven by two key aims:
- Reducing waste: Preventing old dodgeballs and kit from ending up in landfill
- Improving access: Ensuring equipment is passed on to schools and community groups at an affordable price
Many organisations face barriers when trying to access new equipment due to cost. By working with KitRound, we can help ensure that perfectly usable kit continues to benefit players and communities who need it most.
Supporting the Dodgeball Community
By donating used dodgeballs and equipment through the KitBin—or passing on kit that is no longer suitable for official events—we can ensure these items are given a second home.
This might mean:
- Supporting schools introducing dodgeball for the first time
- Helping community groups grow participation
- Providing affordable equipment to organisations with limited budgets
British Dodgeball currently earns no income from the sale of used dodgeballs and has proudly supported new groups with donated equipment for many years.
Looking ahead, we are exploring the creation of a Trust dedicated to supporting new dodgeball activity in deprived areas across the UK. Any future income generated from the resale of equipment will go directly towards this initiative, helping to grow the sport where it is needed most.
Where You’ll Find the KitBin
The KitBin will continue to be present at major British Dodgeball events in Kettering. You can find it at:
- University Championships – 28/03

We encourage all clubs and players to bring along any old or unused dodgeballs and equipment to donate.
The Purpose of the KitBin at Events
The KitBin plays a simple but important role at our events:
- Reduce landfill waste from dodgeball equipment
- Extend the life of kit by redistributing it through KitRound
- Provide affordable equipment to groups who may not otherwise be able to access it
With the support of our community, this initiative will help ensure dodgeball continues to grow in a sustainable and inclusive way.
British Dodgeball is proud to be working with KitRound and thanks all players, clubs, and volunteers who contribute to the KitBin. Together, we can reduce waste, support communities, and keep dodgeball accessible for everyone.
