We are recruiting – Technical Committee members
British Dodgeball is seeking up to 6 enthusiastic and forward-thinking individuals to join the Technical Committee for up to 2 years. We are looking for individuals who have extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport at various levels and be able to weigh up evidence in order to gives decisions regarding rules and regulations of the sport which promote British Dodgeball’s values, supporting the growth of dodgeball in all formats for people of all backgrounds at their particular institution to align to British Dodgeball’s core vision:
“To inspire generations and communities to experience the benefits of playing dodgeball”
We are looking for individuals who can engage in respectful discussion and have the ability to look at the bigger picture rather than only seeking to benefit themselves or their own club.
The role will include:
- Working to update British Dodgeball rules and regulations
- Engage people of all backgrounds to gain insight into the current landscape of the sport through methods such as surveys to ensure rules and regulations support inclusion and growth
- Manage disciplinary issues in line with the complaints and disciplinary policy.
- Support the referee manager with rule clarifications to promote standardised officiating throughout the UK
