British Dodgeball is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking finance professional to join our Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director – Finance.
Since 2017, British Dodgeball has grown into a resilient organisation with ambitious plans for the future. We are now looking to strengthen our Board with additional financial expertise to support strong governance, sustainability, and strategic decision-making.
About the role
This is a voluntary position, with all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed.
- Time commitment: Approximately 2–3 days per month (5–6 Board meetings per year)
- Term: 3 years (maximum of two terms)
- Location: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, or Wales
Key requirements include:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial compliance
- Understanding of small business or sports organisation environments
- Ability to advise on financial strategy, risk, and performance
- Commitment to good governance, equality, and safeguarding
As a Board Director, you will contribute to strategic oversight, fulfil Company Director responsibilities under the Companies Act (2006), and act as an ambassador for British Dodgeball.
