Ben started his dodgeball career in 2005 being part of the first competitive dodgeball games in the U.K. Having graduated from Leeds Met University with a degree in Sports Development Ben set up his own youth dodgeball coaching programme in and around Chester. Ben was an integral part of the National Governing Body from 2008 to 2017, working primarily on developing youth programmes and coach education. With perhaps the introduction of dodgeball into the School Games being the main success of his time in this role, dodgeball has been consistently one of the most participated sports in England schools over the past few years. In 2017 Ben founded British Dodgeball that now employs 4 full time members of staff and is consistently growing the game. Alongside being Managing Director of the company Ben plays a key role in leading the development of grass roots dodgeball in the U.K. In his spare time Ben manages Eden Dodgeball Club where his son and daughter play, spending time with his family and 3 young children at home in Cumbria. He is also Chair of the WDBF Competitions Committee.

Johnathan Rudland

Johnathan started playing dodgeball in 2009 at the University of Bedfordshire and quickly got involved with international dodgeball as an assistant coach with the first England Lions set up in 2010. Johnathan has been involved with the national governing body since 2010 delivering coach education courses around the country to new coaches inspiring them to deliver the sport in a safe and inclusive way. In 2018 Johnathan was manager of the England Lions team that took home two gold medals from the 2018 Dodgeball World Cup in the Women’s and Mixed categories along with many other successful England campaigns in Europe during his time. John’s knowledge and passion in elite international dodgeball as one of the most experienced personal will support GB and the Home Nations Teams to create a pathway and develop. As a full time professional in sport development, Johnathan has help support the development of the sport in Northamptonshire within the school games and creation of new community clubs. He also Co-chairs the WDBF Coaching Committee.
