British Dodgeball Launch Delivery Partnership Scheme
British Dodgeball is looking to develop valuable partnerships with sports coaching companies, local authorities and SSP’s – any organisations which work with children and young people in school settings.
Dodgeball is an immensely popular sport in the U.K. and we are still playing catch-up with respect to the
standardisation of the sport in addition to ensuring high-quality provision within schools. We are seeking to create deep, mutually-beneficial partnerships with organisations which understand the value of dodgeball beyond a wet weather activity or informal game. Such organisations will be able to tender for exclusive rights to be named as our delivery partner in a certain county or region.
Being named as a Delivery Partner carries no annual financial commitments; it is not a sales pitch dressed up. Neither is it free marketing with no expectations once a partner is confirmed. An agreement will be put in place via SLA and both organisations must honour their commitments in order to benefit the sport of dodgeball and both organisations.
So, what does being a British Dodgeball Delivery Partner entail?
- Delivery partners are committed to staff training and delivering high quality dodgeball sessions;
- Delivery partner staff members receive free membership, enabling discounted access to coach education for staff members;
- Lead coaches receive training to deliver British dodgeball workshops and school events;
- Delivery partners are contracted to deliver school competitions & have the opportunity to sell workshops to local schools;
- Delivery partners are promoted on our website, have the use of our Delivery Partner logo, are referred business & have the opportunity to self-promote at school events;
- Delivery partners receive discounted equipment and introductions to our equipment & kit providers;
- Delivery partnership agreements are formalised via S.L.A. following informal interviews & are reviewed annually.
British Dodgeball Development Officer, James Robinson, says, “We are very excited to launch this scheme and hope that the partnerships it helps us to create allows both organisations to benefit through referrals, the ability to run more coaching courses, workshops and school competitions (particularly in regions where British Dodgeball do not have staff members), and creating knowledgeable dodgeball hub organisations in each region. The real winner is of course dodgeball and all of the young people that will benefit from this scheme. We encourage both large and small organisations to apply to become a partner – we’ll take any application seriously as long as your organisation understands the value dodgeball has and the importance of delivering it properly. “
