Areas of Focus

Alongside our regular aims and objectives we have 4 areas of focus for 2021 that will support the game of dodgeball to grow and introduce new people of all ages to the sport.

Girls Dodge Too

Girls Dodge Too is a Sport England funded project that will initially see a team of British Dodgeball Girls Dodge Too Ambassadors deliver new opportunities for women and girls across 8 areas of England. Our objective for 2021 is to grow these opportunities beyond the initial project so that clubs and coaches across the UK can download resources, deliver sessions and become a part of the wider campaign to encourage more women and girls to play dodgeball.

Junior Dodgeball

Dodgeball is one of the most popular sports with young people across the UK and the number of children playing dodgeball in schools is growing each year with over 650,000 playing the game on a regular basis. Our junior dodgeball project will aim to support more clubs, coaches and parent volunteers to set up new junior clubs in order to meet this great demand. We will be providing resources, workshops, case studies and funding support to grow this key area for the long term benefit of the game.

Come Join In

Our ongoing Come Join In project creates opportunities for adults to play the game that are either new to the sport, have played a little before or are returning players after a period of absence. Our regional leagues are a great way for new players to form teams or represent clubs as they will be playing against similar standard players. We will also be developing resources and promotional materials to support clubs and coaches in welcoming new players.
