The wait is almost over. The English Super League returns for the 2026/27 season, with 10 rounds of action set to take place at Arena Sport Kettering.
Across the men’s and women’s divisions, three new teams will be competing in the English top tier for the first time, bringing fresh competition to the league, and another returning for the first time since pre Covid. With the English Super League title up for grabs and qualification for the 2027 British Championships on the line, every point will count from the opening whistle.
New faces, familiar names
The men’s Super League welcomes two new teams for the 2026/27 season, with London Saints 1s and Derby Phantoms 2s earning promotion from National League 1.
London Saints topped the League 1 table for the 2025/26 season, recording 16 wins and three draws to finish on 35 points and secure their place in the English top flight.
Derby Phantoms 2s, meanwhile, had to wait until the final day to confirm their promotion. A crucial final-day victory over Leicester Mustangs saw them finish on 31 points, two clear of Rhondda Dragons in third, securing their place in the Super League for the first time.
Both sides will now face a significant step up in competition as they take on the best teams in English dodgeball.
The women’s division will also see London Saints 1s make their Super League debut after an impressive National League 1 campaign.
Saints matched their men’s team by finishing top of the table, collecting 35 points from 22 games with 17 wins and one draw.
There will also be a familiar face returning to the top flight, with Leeds Owls making their return to the Super League for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Owls secured second place in League 1 by winning both of their final two games of the season in Round 10, finishing on 34 points and earning their place back among the English elite.
Can Lutterworth Meteors defend their title?
The men’s Super League will once again feature Lutterworth Meteors, who dominated the division last season on their way to a fourth British Dodgeball English Super League title.
Meteors dropped just four points across the entire campaign, suffering only two defeats throughout the season.
Can they continue that incredible run of form and add another Super League title to their collection? Or will Leamington Spartans or one of the league’s new challengers be able to knock them off the top spot?
With two promoted teams entering the division, there is plenty of intrigue heading into Round 1.
London Storm set the pace in the women’s division
The women’s Super League promises to be just as competitive, Last season London Storm 1s claimed their first Super League title , finishing ahead of Derby Phantoms with an outstanding 41-points. Storm recorded 20 wins, one draw and just one defeat across the 22-game season to take the league title.
However, they will face plenty of competition if they are to retain their crown. Derby Phantoms, Bedford Mighty Eagles and Leamington Spartans were all in the hunt for podium positions last season, and all three will be looking to challenge Storm again.

The 2026/27 English Super League gets underway on Saturday 10 October 2026 at Arena Sport Kettering.
The first match of the day gets underway at 9:30am, with the final match scheduled for 8:00pm, giving fans a full day of top-level English dodgeball.
