COLLEGE TUTOR TRAINING

The College Tutor Training (CTT) scheme is our investment in the future of college dodgeball in the UK. The objective of the CTT scheme is to empower educators from each institution a deeper knowledge of the sport and certify them to deliver British Dodgeball courses & workshops to their own students.

Scheme participants are sport-specialist tutors who understand the value of dodgeball as a vehicle to drive engagement in physical activity. The scheme has additional benefits; providing free tutor training; a free equipment pack; and free entry to British Dodgeball college championship events in the first year of operation as we look to grow college dodgeball participation as well as knowledge of the sport.

Tutor Training 26-27

  1. British Dodgeball can provide training for up to two tutors from each college as part of the CTT scheme.
  2. Training will consist of free access to the British Dodgeball Level 1 online course and a face-to-face regional training day which will take place at the following dates & locations below.
  3. Upon receiving training…
    • Colleges will be provided with a dodgeball equipment pack for free (for the first 45 colleges that sign up to the scheme)
    • Colleges can run dodgeball sessions for their students
    • Colleges can deliver the British Dodgeball Introductory Workshops and the Level 1 Award in Coaching Dodgeball to their students at a discounted rate (£40/learner for the Level 1 and as little as £8.33/learner for the workshop).
  4. College can also enter the British Dodgeball College Championships at no cost.
  5. Tutor training lasts for 3 years as long as the tutor stays up-to-date with the sport’s developments.

    Before you buy

    Can I learn at my own pace?

    Yes! Our courses are set up so you can start, pause and return to your learning at times which are convenient to you. There is no time limit to compete the course in. The only exception to this is the online Level 2 course, which is made up of 2 webinars and lessons to complete before/after certain points, but this is all clearly marked.

    Our courses are developed by teaching and coaching professionals from around the world, led by a Physical Education specialist teacher and international dodgeball coach from the UK. The WDBF Coaching Committee endorses the courses we develop to ensure the contents are of high value to dodgeball specialists and generalist sports educators alike.

    Any device with access to a browser can access this course in its entirety. No additional software (e.g., word processors) or hardware is needed, unless explicitly stated (such as recording equipment for the online Level 2 course). We recommend using Google Chrome to complete the course, although it should be compatible with all browsers.

    Our courses are aimed at:

    • Anyone wanting to learn more about dodgeball
    • Physical Education teachers
    • Generalist sports coaches
    • Dodgeball coaches
    • Dodgeball players wanting to learn more about another code of the sport

    It can be completed by anyone of any age, although it is recommended each learner is aged 13+. Anyone aged under 18 should get permission from a parent or guardian before signing up to online learning on this site.

    After You Buy

    I no longer have access to a course. What has happened?

    Please make sure you are logged in to the site so we know it’s you trying to pick up where you left off.

    You can see your progress at the top of each course. When it reaches 100%, you can download certificates from the same place!
