The Scottish Super League is back, and if last season is anything to go by, 2026 is shaping up to be a blockbuster. From unbeaten champions to hungry challengers and rebuilding squads, all eyes will be on Douglas Sport Centre when the league gets underway on 7 February.
Granite City Guerrillas
Reigning champions, undisputed kings. The Guerrillas were flawless in 2025, storming to 14 wins from 14 matches and racking up a staggering +322 set difference. No one found an answer to their intensity or depth, and they enter 2026 as the team everyone wants to knock off their perch. The big question: can anyone stop another season of total domination?
Buchan Sharks
Second place last year, but oh so close. With a 12-2 record, the Sharks proved they can beat everyone in the league – except the Granite City Guerrillas. That rivalry defined last season, and 2026 feels like a crossroads moment. Can the Sharks finally overcome their biggest obstacle and turn consistency into a championship run?
Kelvin Rapids
Finishing third, the Rapids quietly put together a strong campaign with 9 wins and 18 points, rounding out the podium. They’ve shown they can compete at the top end, but this season is about taking the next step. If they can steal results from the top two, Kelvin could be right in the title conversation.
Edinburgh Dodgeball
Fourth place was settled by the finest of margins. Edinburgh finished level on 15 points, edging out Buchan Stingrays by just 16 sets. Grit, resilience, and consistency were their trademarks last year. Another season like that could see them pushing even higher up the table.
Buchan Megalodons
Formerly the Buchan Stingrays, the newly rebranded Megalodons come into 2026 with unfinished business. Fifth place last season hurt — level on points with Edinburgh and ending the year with a perfect final round (2 wins from 2), yet still falling short on set difference. Momentum is on their side, and the new identity could spark a serious push.
GCG Insurgents
Seventh last year with 3 wins and 7 points, the Insurgents showed flashes of quality but will be looking for far more consistency in 2026. With improvement across the board, they’ll be aiming to climb the standings and become a tougher matchup every round.
GCG Initiates
Last season was a tough learning curve, finishing eighth without registering a win. But every new season is a fresh start. The Initiates will be focused on getting on the board early and proving they belong at this level in 2026.
With rivalries simmering, champions under pressure, and several teams poised to make a leap forward, the 2026 Scottish Super League promises drama from the very first whistle. February 7th can’t come soon enough. 🏆🔥
