Scottish Super League 2025 Preview – Kelvin Rapids

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Kelvin Rapids are gearing up for another thrilling campaign in the Scottish Dodgeball Super League, set to kick off on 8th February in Dundee. After an impressive 2024 season where they secured 3rd place, Rapids will be looking to build on their strong performances and challenge for the top spot. Last season, they finished behind Buchan Sharks (2nd place, 28 points) and champions Granite City Guerrillas (1st place, 32 points), ending with 11 wins, 1 draw, and 4 losses—all of which came against the top two sides.

Reflection on Last Season
Josh Wilson from Kelvin Rapids reflected on the team’s 2024 journey: “Our 3rd place last season involved some hard-fought wins and narrow losses. We think we’ve learnt from that season and we can’t wait to start this one.” The Rapids demonstrated resilience and determination, pushing their rivals to the limit but falling just short in key fixtures against Sharks and Guerrillas. These experiences have provided invaluable lessons as they prepare for the new season.

Preparation for the 2025 Season
The off-season has been a period of intense preparation for Kelvin Rapids. According to Wilson, “We’ve been training hard in the off-season, focusing on both individual progress and working well as a team. Playing Sharks as our first match of the league will be a great test to see how we’re doing.” This comprehensive approach highlights their commitment to improvement, blending personal skill development with enhanced team dynamics.

Goals and Expectations for the 2025 Season
Looking ahead, Rapids have set ambitious targets. Wilson outlined their objectives: “We want to push Sharks and GCG this season and getting a result against both is our aim. If we do that then we’ll be right in the mix for the title.” With a clear focus on overcoming last season’s stumbling blocks, Kelvin Rapids are determined to convert narrow defeats into decisive victories and cement their status as title contenders.

The Scottish Super League kicks off this Saturday, 8th February, in Dundee. Kelvin Rapids will face last year’s runners-up, Buchan Sharks, in the first game of the day on Court 2 at 13:30. It promises to be a high-stakes clash that will set the tone for an exciting season ahead.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
